Hyundai has announced plans to introduce a stylish new hatchback at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
We are talking about a new three-door version of its i30 created for European markets. The new model has a new rear bumper, a revised grille, 16-inch alloy wheels and a tailgate spoiler.
Under the hood, four different engines will be offered. Even though specific details were not released, one of the options could be a 1.6-liter diesel that produces 128 PS (94 kW / 126 hp) and has CO2 emissions of 97 g/km.
"The New Generation i30 three-door has been conceived solely for Europe, and will strengthen Hyundai’s presence further in the segment where we have seen our greatest success since 2007. Just as important, its sporty looks − offering a fresh interpretation of fluidic sculpture − will generate greater brand awareness and enhance consumer perceptions of Hyundai in Europe", said Allan Rushforth, Senior VP and Chef Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor Europe.
