Hyundai is planning a full range of performance cars and according to our sources, the next on the line will be the upcoming Elantra. Set to be unveiled in April, the new generation Hyundai Elantra will get a hot N version.

Don’t be confused by the N Line variant, which is just a sheep is wolf’s clothes. The new Hyundai Elantra N will be a proper performance sedan.

According to our sources, the model will use the same 2.0 liter turbo engine which is already available in the i30 N or Veloster N. The 2.0 liter petrol unit deliver 275 horsepower and 363 Nm peak of torque.

There will also be some exterior updates and some interior tweaks. Just like any other performance car, the engineers from Hyundai will also come with some suspension modifications and with an upgraded braking system.

According to some voices, the new Hyundai Elantra will arrive in showrooms in September, and later we will see the performance variant.
