How about a pickup that can travel faster than you can imagine? Americans would love that. And they can also buy that, because Hennessey Performance Engineering has started production of the world’s most powerful pickup truck, the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 TRX, which has an upgraded 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 with 1,012 horsepower.
Based on the 702 horsepower Dodge Ram 1500 TRX pick-up truck, Hennessey’s high-performance upgrades reduce the 0-60 mph time to 3.2 seconds – the fastest in the world – while torque increases to 969 lb-ft. The 6.2-liter V8 truck can reach a 11.4-second quarter mile at over 120 mph with upgrades such as a high-flow 2.65L supercharger, fuel injectors, and high-flow induction system, as well as performance-boosting calibration.
The imposing hypertruck, measuring 228.9 inches (5.81 meters) long, 82.1 inches (2.09 meters) wide, and 77.6 inches (1.97 meters) high, makes a huge statement on the road. The Mammoth is the most comprehensive and capable performance vehicle on the market, capable of transporting six passengers in comfort, carrying a payload of more than 2,300 lbs, and towing more than 7,700 lbs.
Owners who choose the Mammoth 1000 will typically pay around $150,000 for their project, including the purchase of the standard TRX. The majority of buyers will select a high-spec standard vehicle and add the Mammoth 1000 package and Stage 2 off-road upgrades. Custom bumpers, LED lighting, a front leveling kit, 37-inch off-road tires, and improved motorized fold-out stairs are included in the popular Stage 2 package. The Mammoth 1000 TRX full turnkey kit also includes a 2 year / 24,000-mile warranty.
