This is Graham, the only person in this world that was designed to survive on out roads. Graham is the work of artist Patricia Piccinin which teamed up with Australia’s leading trauma surgeon, Christian Kenfield, and road safety engineer Dr. David Logan to deliver a body that can fight against the forces involved in car accidents.
"The truth is, cars have evolved a lot faster than we have. Our bodies are just not equipped to deal with the forces in a common crash scenario", Dr. Logan, road safety engineer with Monash University’s accident research center told Australian insurer Transport Accident Commission.
Graham has a helmet-like skull, extra cerebrospinal fluid, more tissue, thicker bones and a very impressive neck. Graham also has extra thick ribcage with built-in airbags that reaches to his chin. More than that, this human body also has feet and skin updated to withstand a collision.
