After they increased performance on models such as the 1M Coupe and the X3 F25, the Germans from Hartge have turned their attention to the 5-Series F10.
In this case the kit applies to the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine inside the 525d and 525d xDrive variants which produces 218 HP (160 kW) at 4,400 rpm and 450 Nm between 1,500 rpm and 2,500 rpm as standard.
Thanks to a few engineering tricks, Hartge has manage raise that output to 258 HP (190 kW) at 4,400 rpm and 530 Nm at 1,600 rpm, figures which leave CO2 emissions unchanged at 134-140 g/Km, and with the tuner claiming that fuel economy has actually improved by 0.5-litres epr 100 Km.
Due to its new output the Hartge BMW 525d xDrive can sprint from 80 to 180 Km/h in 15.91 seconds (5.01 seconds faster than the stock model) and can also hit a new top speed of 240 Km/h (+6 Km/h).
