Another German tuner ‘braging’ about its latest enhancement program is Hartge who approached the BMW 1M Coupe as they felt that this this model needs a little extra power.
That is why they optimised the car’s engine control unit and fitted it with a stainless steel real silencer featuring four 80 mm in diameter tailpipes. This way the 1M Coupe’s 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six unit was dialed up from 340 HP and 450 Nm of torque to 401 HP and 530 Nm of peak torque at 2,950 rpm.
According to Hartge, this increase enables the BMW 1M Coupe to accelerate from 0 to 200 Km/h (124 mph) in 11.34 seconds, meaning is is 2.18 seconds faster than the standard 1M.
Other elements installed by Hartge on the 1M Coupe include lower suspension springs (-30 mm), a boot lid spoiler and a roof spoiler, new alloys along with aluminium pedals and unique floor mats for the interior.
