Autocar has recently reviewed a car that costs only 29,000 GBP which can lap most race circuits faster than most Ferraris.
We’re talking about the Ginerra G40R, a car with racing heritage, but built for the road and designed to offer pure fun when behind the wheel. Some of the thinks that characterize the Ginetta G40R are a great driving position, a nice steering wheel and ‘three perfectly locatedpedals’ plus a Ford sourced Duratorq engine which can deliver around 180 up to 190 HP.
For those who pay extra the engine can be tuned to up to 280 HP, and when you combine that figure with the fact that the Ginnetta G40 weights only 800 Kg then you start to understand why this car is so quick and represents one of the best deals when as far as pricing and performance.
The G40R sends its power to the rear wheels and its drive train has been lifted straight out from the Mazda MX5. Overall Autocar thinks the Ginnetta G40R represents a breath of fresh air in a world where most cars are heavily packed with electronics, especially due to the fact that it can put a big smile on your face at such a low price.
