The last time we had a physical Geneva Motor Show was back in 2019. In 2020, the GIMS foundation managed to set a digital version of the show, while in 2021 and 2022 all the event was canceled.
For 2023, the officials have announced a premiere: two editions of the event. One in Geneva and one in Doha, Qatar. Now, the organisers have announced that the Geneva part of the show was canceled for 2023.
The show was supposed to take place in the second part of February, but due to the current events – COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine – they have decided to cancel it.
“Due to the uncertainties in the global economy and geopolitics, as well as the risks related to the development of the pandemic, the organizers have decided to focus exclusively on the planning of the event in Doha in 2023,” said Maurice Turettini, President of the foundation.
As a result, the show will have only the Doha part which is scheduled for November 2023.
