According to a recent report published by our colleagues from GM Authority, General Motors has recently trademarked the “Badlands” moniker. If we are going to listen to all those rumors, this will be the name of an upcoming performance truck.
The filling was done by GM officials on February 16 and has the serial number “86535743” referring to “Motor land vehicles, namely, trucks”. For now we don’t know much more, but we are sure that the new performance pick-up truck will be based on Chevrolet Silverado or a GMC model.
If we are looking into the market we will notice that the Ford F-150 Raptor is the most important high performance pick-up truck and GM has mounted the crosshair on it. As you may have read, the new F-150 Raptor will be available on the market next year and it will have a 3.5 liter V6 EcoBoost engine with a lot of power.
