The Brits from Autocar have driven the Ford Focus Zetec S, the sportiest version Focus available on the market at this point, until the arrival of the ST model.
This Zetec S 2.0 TDCi version comes with a 4-cylinder 1997cc turbodiesel unit under its bonnet that is good for delivering 161 bhp at 3,750 rpm as well as 251 lb-ft of torque at 3,250 rpm and its starting price tag in the UK is 21,345 GBP.
For that amount customers get a hatch that weights 1,412 Kg, which sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 8.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 135 mph.
The Ford Focus Zetec S returns 56,5 mpg combined (UK rating) and its CO2 emissions levels are 129 grams per Km.
