The current Ford F-150 will be offered with two new V6 engines to broaden it appeal among US customers.
The popular pick-up will first get an entry-level 3.5 liter V6 that will deliver 283 hp and 345 Nm of torque. With this amount of resources the Ford F-150 will be capable of towing a maximum capacity of 7600 lbs or 3447 kilograms. Also the maximum payload will be of 1910 lbs or 866 kg.
The more powerful 2.7 liter Ecoboost V6 will deliver an impressive 325 bhp and 507 Nm of torque. This will be enough for a maximum payload capacity of 1020 kg and a towing performance of 3855 kg, which is a lot. Ford also promises efficiency, the 2.7 liter V6 being equipped as standard with a start-stop system, especially created for truck customers.
