The Czech automotive site Autoforum has provided leaked images of the upcoming Fisker Atlantic.

Previously known as Project Nina, the Fisker Atlantic is a mid-size hybrid sedan which is going to have a lower price tag than the current Karma once it hits the market, and which will have its world premiere at the 2012 New York Auto Show this week.

Once we’ll have the official details for the Atlantic in a few days, we will be able to tell you what kind of powertrain will this more affordable Fisker mode will use, as for now we only know that it will feature a BMW sourced 4-cylinder engine as a range extender and an electric motor backed up by batteries.

The Fisker Atlantic, which looks very similar to the Karma, is expected to cost between $50,000 USD and $60,000 USD, with market availability expected to start in mid-2013.
