As you know Nissan has announced that Datsun brand will be revived this year. The first model made under the Datsun name will be a passenger vehicle that will go on sale in 2014.
The Japanese officials didn’t tell us very much but we know that the new model will have a "strong independent brand identity." To proof us what this means, Nissan has published a teaser image with the upcoming Datsun model.
In this image we see that the new Asian model will come with angular headlights, a small radiator grille and a very well designed hood. The new Datsun brand will be offered in Russia, Indonesia, India and South Africa.
"Datsun’s key values – accessible, reliable and modern – are designed to accommodate the needs and aspirations of this target group, just as it did for similarly optimistic customers in Japan, America and a large part of the world during most of the 20th century." said Vincent Cobee, Datsun boss.
