The Korean car maker Kia will join the hot hatch segment with the 2013 Pro Cee’d GT. Set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the gents from AutoBlog.gr have shown us the first official photos with the upcoming performance hatchback.
The new Kia Pro Cee’d GT has a more aggressive and sporty body kit that includes a new front bumper, bigger air intakes, special honeycomb grille and restyled side skirts. There are also new LED headlamps and a GT logo mounted on the grille. The new hot hatch will have a stiffer suspension and a performance braking system.
Under the hood we will find the 1.6 liter turbocharged GDI engine that can deliver 200 hp (149 kW) and 265 Nm (195 lb-ft). The power is sent to the wheels via a six speed manual gearbox.
On the cabin, the customers will have Recaro sport seats, aluminum pedals and some special accessories. The new Kia Pro Cee’d GT is set to go into production in mid-May and the price should start from 23.000 pounds.
