A few months ago, Volkswagen unveiled the eight generation Golf model. During the presentation, the Volkswagen officials have confirmed that the new model will get performance versions.

In the last weeks we have seen a lot of spy shots with the new Golf GTI, but today is the time to show you the official teaser pictures of the next German Hot Hatch.

Yes, it is a teaser and is a CGI, but we can see how the front part of the new Golf GTI will look. There is a massive front grille with LED DRLs inserts and some aggressive lines.

According to our sources, the new Volkswagen Golf GTI will be offered in more versions, including a plug-in hybrid one with 245 horsepower (just like the Octavia RS iV or the new Cupra Leon).

There will also be a 2.0 liter TSI unit which will deliver 245 horsepower and a GTI Clubsport with about 290 horsepower. The range topping will be the Golf R which will feature and all-wheel drive system and only an automatic trasmission. The “standard” Golf GTI will be available with a manual gearbox.
