The Prancing Horse has just published a trio of photos with the Ferrari Superamerica 45, a one off model which will appear in the flesh at this year’s edition Villa d’Estate Concorso d’Eleganza, on May 20th.
The car was styled by Ferrari Design based on indications received from Peter Kaikow, a New York collector and Ferrari enthusiast who took delivery of his exclusive open top sports at the automaker’s factory today.
The Superamerica 45 celebrates 45 years since Mr Kalikow first bought a Ferrari, and some of its special features include a carbon-fibre rotating hard-top which incorporates a rear screen, a carbon-fibre boot designed to accommodate the roof when open air driving is desired, plus a body coloured bumpers and a chromed front grille.
The Ferrari Superamerica 45 has also received special burnished aluminium A-pillars, wing mirrors and door handles, and body coloured rims with diamond finish spokes. The car’s body is finished in the exclusive Blu Antille colour, while the various carbon fibre components that were added feature a contrasting darker blue theme.
At the interior the Superamerica 45 combines Cuoio leather trim with Blu Scuro carbon fibre details and the latest generation touch screen infotainment system.
Ferrari did not specify how much it charged Mr Kaikov for commissioning the Superamerica 45, but we have a feeling it was not cheap.
