Is Citroen preparing to introduce the production version DS9 ? a teaser image that was published on the automaker’s Facebook page this morning seems to indicate that.
The image was accompanied by this text : "The future of the DS line is already taking shape at Citroen…" so chances are that we are looking at the new range-topping model designed to compete against the BMW 7 Series, the Mercedes S Class and the Audi A8.
It looks like the upcoming DS9 will be closely related to the Citroen Metropolis unveiled at the Shanghai World Fair in 2010, a vehicle which at that time was reported to make usage of a 2.0-litre petrol V6 and an electric motor to produce 460 bhp and 430 Nm of torque.
Citroen are yet to release comprehensive details in relationship with this teaser, and once they do you will be among the first to be informed about what the French automaker has prepared for the upper premium class.
