On this monday, Chris Evans has announced on Twitter that he will leave the Top Gear team. Today, BBC has decided against replacing Chris Evans on Top Gear.
"Stepping down from Top Gear. Gave it my best shot but sometimes that’s not enough. The team are beyond brilliant, I wish them all the best", said Evans.
Citing an unnamed BBC spokeperson, the Evening Standard said that the British broadcaster has no immediate plans to replace Chris Evans and do not expect to do so going forward. As a result, here are the show’s presenters: Matt LeBlanc, Rory Reid, Chris Harris, Sabine Schmitz, and Eddie Jordan.
"He firmly believes that the right people remain, on both the production team and presenting team, to take the show forward and make it the hit we want it to be", said BBC Studios director Mark Linsey.
More than that, BBC said that the company will continue and will deliver a new season of Top Gear.
