We’ve just seen how the new Nissan GT-R compares to the 2012 BMW M5, now it time so fin out if the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is a good match for it.
You might already know what the GT-R is capable of, and in case you don’t you can check out our previous post, so lets concentrate on the ZL1.
This performance version Camaro comes with a 6.2-litre supercharged and intercooled V8 under the hood which helps generate 550 HP and 550 lb-ft of torque plus many mechanical improvements and tweaks that help it offer a good balance between pony car and sports car.
Road & Track describes the ZL1 as fine notches above the regular Camaro SS but still not as advanced as the Nissan GT-R especially on the track.
There is after all a 40,000 USD price difference between the ZL1 and the GT-R, as the American model starts at 54,995 USD while the latest version of ‘Godzilla’ costs from 86,800 USD, but if you want to see more on how that amount is justified follow the jump and hit play.
