Chevrolet will use this year SEMA Show to introduce a special edition of the current Camaro. Named Hot Wheels Edition, the special model was developed with toy car manufacturer Mattel, responsabile for the famous collection of Hot Wheels replicas.
GM and Mattel managed to develop a special edition Camaro, available in both coupe and convertible forms, painted in a bespoked kinetic blue metallic exterior paint, accented by red Hot Wheels flame logos inside and out. The package is rounded by the ZL1’s rear spoiler, upper grille, front splitter, side skirts, and a set of 21-inch wheels in black.
For the inside, a black leather interior has red and black seat stitching with the Hot Wheels logo embroidered on the headrests. The instrument panel and door inserts are black, with the Hot Wheels flame on each door and each sill plates.
The special edition could be sold also as a separate package for $6,995, available to order starting January 2013. The package will be available only along two versions of the car: either a 3.6-liter V6 or a 6.2-liter V8 engine.
