Caterham has officially unveiled the new Caterham Seven 620S. The car is described as a mildly saner and a more road-oriented version of the hardcore 620R.
The new Caterham Seven 620S has an aluminum body, a composite nosecone and the old classy style. In addition, the car is equipped with a windscreen, a carbon vinyl top and 15 inch wrapped in Avon ZZS tires.
Inside the cabin of the Caterham Seven 620S is a Momo steering wheel, carbon fiber trim and leather seats. The seatbelt has four-point harness and you will also find a heater. This is the first Caterham being offered with this option and if you want one you’ll have to pay 995 pounds.
Under the hood of the Caterham Seven 620S is a supercharged 2.0-liter Ford Duratec engine that can deliver 310 horsepower and 161 pound-feet of torque. The unit is matted to a five speed manual transmission that has a lightweight flywheel. According to Caterham, the new Seven 620S has just 1,345 pound and can run from stand still to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds before hitting a top speed of 145 mph.
The Caterham 620S costs 44,995 Pounds and the company is currently accepting orders.
