The second generation B-Class is a very different car that finally justifies its sports tourer label. Carlsson now takes it to the next level with a brand new aerodynamic styling kit that enhances both its looks and the way the car slips through the air.
Starting at the front, the front spoiler provides a more dynamic look to the nose, while reducing lift at speed. The air management continues with deeper, sculpted sill covers, which visually link to the new rear apron with its built-in diffuser, flanked by cut-outs for the four outlet pipes of the stainless steel, free-flow sports exhaust that also provides a deeper and sportier exhaust note.
The aero package is rounded off by the Carlsson roof spoiler, which helps to reduce drag and lift by controlling the airflow separating from the roof.
In the cabin, Carlsson door lock pins, alloy pedal set and tailored floor mats add a touch of exclusivity. If a customer so wishes, Carlsson can provide a totally bespoke leather interior to individual order.
Carlsson’s 30mm lowering springs give the B-class a much more hunkered down and purposeful look, resisting roll and improving the handling. It is designed to work perfectly with the Carlsson alloy wheels to enhance the cars appearance and dynamics.
The Carlsson 1/10 wheel design is available in the Titanium or Brilliant Edition finish in 18, 19 and 20-inch diameters. The Graphite Edition wheel is available in 19 and 20-inch diameters. Carlsson’s partners, Dunlop and Vredestein, provide the 225/40 R18, 225/35 R19 and 235/30 R20 tyres.
The B250 now makes 253 instead of 211hp, an increase of 42 hp. The B200 makes 187hp, up from 156 hp, and the B 180 makes 146hp up from 122hp, an increase of 31hp. A vehicle modified with the Carlsson CB kit is certified to the appropriate Euro 5 and Euro 6 emission standards.
