In a second announcement made by German tuner Carlsson today we find out about its plans of bringing a new tuned version of the Mercedes CLS 63 AMG at this year’s IAA in Frankfurt.
The program is called the Carlsson CK63 RS and it refers to a series of styling upgrades complemented by a power kit for the V8 bi-turbo from under the bonnet. Starting with the exterior the German four door coupe received a new front spoiler and carbon fiber front spoiler lip, painted stainless steel grille inserts, a discrete trunk lip spoiler and a rear bumper integrated a carbon diffuser.
Also visible at the exterior are the double spoke design 20 inch alloys and the stainless steel sport exhaust system with 4 oval enf pipes responsible for giving the Carlsson CK63 RS Mercedes CLS 63 AMG a distinctive sound.
The performance package developed for the CLS 63 AMG enables V8 to produce 649 HP (477 kW) / 900 Nm of torque instead of 557 HP (410 kW) and 800 Nm, figures which will reduce the 0 to 100 Km/h acceleration time by 0.2 seconds to 4.1 seconds.
Inside the Carlsson CK63 RS Mercedes CLS 63 AMG the tuner has created an unique environment by combining high quality materials such as wood, leather, Alcantara and carbon fibre.
Other enhancements performed on this car include two sport springs which lower the ride height by 30 mm at the front.
