The 6th episode from Top Gear’s new series presented the BMW Z4 vs the Nissan 370Z. After watching the video ourselves we must admit that choosing one car over the other would be a difficult task considering they don’t really compete in the same category.
The BMW Z4 is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-litre engine that develops 300 HP at 5,800 rpm with a maximum 300 lb-ft of torque from 1,400 to 5,000 rpm. Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph takes 5.1 seconds and the BMW Z4 top speed is limited at 130 mph while the version equipped with the Sport Package will stop at 150 mph.
As for the Nissan 370Z the juice comes from a 3.7-litre unit that spits out 332 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm. Accelerating to 60 mph from a standstill takes 4.7 seconds and the Nissan 370Z top speed is clocked at 155 mph (electronically limited).
