Two year ago, Marco Wittmann managed to win his first DTM championship title. This weekend, the German racing driver did it again. In order to celebrate the win, BMW has unveiled a special M4. Named BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition the special series will be manufactured in just 200 units and will be sold around the globe.

The German model comes with the Bosch-developed water injection system, with OLED taillights and with more power. The six cylinder engine can now deliver 500 horsepower and 600 Nm peak of torque. Thanks to the M-DCT transmission the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition can run from stand still to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 305 km/h.

The BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition will be available just in the special Alpine White paint and with the Wittmann’s DTM car livery. We see some carbon fiber on the splitter, mirror caps, skirts and some aero flicks ahead of the front wheel arches. At the back of the car, BMW has installed a big rear wing.

Inside the cabin, the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition features the same layout as the standard M4. Also, the model is lighter and has some major improvements on the dynamic side. In Germany, the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition will have a price of 148,500 euros which is more than the price asked for the M4 GTS.
