A few months ago a series of news have emerged regarding an upcoming BMW i9 anniversary model. According to those rumors, BMW is preparing to celebrate its centenary with a special version of the i8 model. But a true-German fan has decided to deliver his vision of the rumored i9.
As you can see in the attached pictures, the rendered BMW i9 has a Sci-Fi look and could be used as the 22nd century Bavarian supercar.
The real BMW i9 is expected to arrive in 2016 and will feature a more powerful powertrain. According to rumors, the German engineers will mount a bigger 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine and a larger electric motor. As a result, the output delivered by BMW i9 will be much bigger than the one offered by the current i8 (362 horsepower and 570 Nm peak of torque). As a result, the i9 could complete the run from stand still to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 4 seconds.
