As the first BMW Gran Coupe video surfaces online, we also get the news that the decision to take this 4-door ‘coupe-saloon’ into production has been made.
There is still uncertainty weather or not the production version BMW Gran Coupe will be named the 8 Series but what is sure is the fact that rivals like Maserati Quattroporte or Porsche Panamera will have a new competitor in 2012.
For the production version BMW Gran Coupe the Bavarian automaker will use its 7 Series, 5 Series and 5 Series GT platform while motorisation options should include the company’s current 6- and 8-cylinder powering units.
