BMW has officially unveiled a one-off prototype car called Touring Coupe. The event took place during the Villa d’Este weekend and it is a reminiscent of the old Z4 with a fixed metal roof.
Don’t get me wrong, but there are also some Zagato influences there, just like the Z4 Zagato Concept in 2012. Much like the previous concept car based on the Z4, it’s a one-of-a-kind car and pays tribute to the past by adopting a modern design.
Basically, this is a modern interpretation of the famous Z3 E36/8 aka the “Clown Shoe.”
Under the new skin is a Z4 M40i, but there are no other details regarding the engine or power. All we know, is that BMW hasn’t any plans to produce this car is a limited series.
