BMW, Audi and Daimler managed to make a unique offer to buy Nokia’s digital mapping and location business HERE. And because the offer was good, they successfully concluded the acquisition. The three partners each hold an equal stake in HERE. All competent antitrust authorities approved the transaction.
We all know that Audi, BMW and Daimler are strong investors in digitalization. Audi previously announced it wants a car as smart as a computer. Daimler and BMW are following. The acquisition will lead to common maps for the three manufacturers navigation systems.
