BMW has officially revealed today an anniversary edition of the M5. Dubbed "30 Jahre M5" (30 years of M5), the special model was developed to celebrate 30 years since the first generation of the M5 was introduced and it will be built in only 300 units.
All units of the 2014 BMW M5 30 Jahre will feature the individual Frozen Dark Silver paint with dark chrome accents. Furthermore, the 2014 BMW M5 30 Jahre will come with bi-color 20 inch alloy wheel wrapped in 265/35 ZR20 front and 295/30 ZR20 rear tires.
Inside the cockpit, buyers will find a dual-theme upholstery with Merino leather and Alcantara. In addition, we see special badging and aluminum inserts.
The 2014 BMW M5 30 Jahre is featuring the Competition Package which comes with a 10 mm lowered suspension, a reprogrammed M Dynamic Mode, stiffer anti-sway bars and an updated engine. The V8 twin-turbo 4.4 liter unit features now a new management system and is able to offer 600 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, with 40 HP and 20 Nm peak of torque more than the standard version.
As a result, the 2014 BMW M5 30 Jahre can sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, with 0.4 seconds faster than the standard version. The top speed is limited to 250 km/h but with the M Driver’s Package, the electronic limiter can be raised to 305 km/h.
