Bentley has officially unveiled the 2015 Mulsanne Speed Blue Train at the 2015 Techno Classica show in Essen. The new Bentley Mulsanne Speed Blue Train was designed to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Blue Train race that was won by Woolf Barnato in 1930.
On the outside of the Bentley Mulsanne Speed Blue Train we see black alloy wheels, a revised grille and a special mesh pattern that echoes the original Speed Six. In addition, we see Blue Train 85 Year tread plates and an expertly crafted veneer image of the original Bentley ‘Blue Train’ Speed Six.
According to Bentley, the first production model was personalized and features Robbe & Berking silver-plated cutlery, Haviland Limoges porcelain crockery, Linely crystal champagne flutes and an Angora picnic rug.
According to the British car manufacturer, the new Bentley Mulsanne Speed Blue Train will be produced in only 4 units.
"The Blue Train is one of the most famous and celebrated cars in the world and it perfectly embodies the racing spirit of the Bentley. Woolf Barnato was a three-time Le Mans victor, but winning the Blue Train race captured the public’s imagination, and fuelled the legend of the Bentley Boys", said Richard Charlesworth the Bentley Heritage Collection boss.
