After offering a preview of the Sportback variant, the German automaker is doing the same thing all over again and showcases a few sketches with the spyder version Audi Urban Concept.
Unlike the hardtop model which features a tailgate that slides to the rear, the Audi Urban Concept Spyder has doors that open to the top, and a wraparound windscreen, while the rest of the car remains the same.
The cockpit is made from CFRP, the wheels are surrounded by protective plates plus the car features an elaborate suspension and an electric drive system composed from e-tron electric motors and a lithium-ion battery pack.
Just like the hard top version the Audi Urban Concept Spyder rolls on 21 inch wheels and is ideal for cruising around the city with zero missions.
We’ll have full details with the Sportback and the Spyder version Audi Urban Concept once the 2011 International Motor Show in Frankfurt will open its doors.
