As we’re inching closer this year’s edition Frankfurt Motor Show, Audi is starting to release more and more photos with both the Sportback and Spyder versions of the Audi Urban Concept.
As we’ve previously stated, the Audi Urban Concept is a lightweight two-seat prototype designed to ‘integrate’ in the urban landscape which extracts power from two e-tron electric motors backed by lithium-ion batteries.
The feature that differentiates the Sportback from the Spyder is the canopy roof which slides to the back to open, whereas the roof-less version gains a pair of doors which pen to the top and a windshield which continues to the sides of the car.
Both the Audi Urban Concepts feature 21 inch wheels, LED enhanced headlights and bodies that combine carbon fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP) with aluminum.
Apart from aiming towards efficient propulsion, the German car maker says these concepts will also be generating some of the thrills that you would normally get in a sports car.
We’ll have all the details once the prototypes premiere in Frankfurt next month.
