Audi announced their best ever global sales figures for the first quarter of 2010, with 264,100 cars sold between January and March.
This figure indicates that Audi has sold more vehicles than Mercedes who manage to sell 248,500 units in the same period of time.
The main reason for Audi’s record sales is the fact that one in every five vehicles sold by them ends up in China, a market where the Automaker from Ingolstadt sells twice as more cars when compared to Mercedes.
By 2015 Audi wants to pass both BMW and Mercedes in terms of units sold globally, aiming for the worl’s leading luxury car manufacturer.
