The Audi Q3 jinlong yufeng is the third concept (apart from the RS Q3 and the A6 L e-tron), part of the German automaker’s offensive at the Auto China 2012 in Beijing.
Just like the RS Q3, the Q3 jinlong yufeng is yet another variant of the compact Q3 SUV, with its naming (which means Golden Dragon in the Wind) pointing to the theme of the car.
The Q3 jinlong yufeng features two kiteboards made of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) mounted on the roof, a flat outdoor pouch as a special cargo floor liner, and two rugged sports cameras known as Audi Cams, stored in the lft side wall of the cargo space.
The pouch can be used to stow wet beach articles, it can serve as a sun umbrella or as a set cover.
Its exterior uses the Liuli Yellow livery and also features add-on body parts painted in matt quartz which match the ones found inside off-road packages available for production cars. There are also elements such as the single-frame radiator grille with vertical struts, tainted headlamps, underbody protection, flared wheel arches, brushed stainless steel running boards and a diffuser made from aluminum.
The Audi Q3 jinlong yufeng Concept rides on 20 inch machine-polished wheels and uses a 2.5-litre TFSI 5-cylinder engine with direct injection and turbocharging for propulsion. This engine produces 310 HP (228 kW) and enables a 5.5 seconds 0 to 100 Km/h (62 mph) sprint time and a top speed of 250 Km/h (155.34 mph).
