Audi launches VIN checking micro-website for models affected by Dieselgate

As you know, Audi announced us that 2.1 million cars sold worldwide are affected by Dieselgate. But do you own one? In order to find out, Audi has launched a VIN checking micro-website. 

According to Audi, the website is now available only in Germany, but in the coming weeks there will be a global platform. All you have to do is enter your car VIN and that you’ll get the answer. 

The 2.1 million cars made by Audi are equipped with the 1.6 and 2.0 liter Type EA 189 diesel units with Euro 5 certifications. 

In the same statement, Audi told to the customers that the cars continue to be roadworthy and technically safe without any restrictions. The technical solution that will solve the Dieselgate problem will be announce later this month.
