Ingolstadt’s four ring automaker has offered a few renderings with the Audi A5 Coupe DTM Concept, a car codenamed the ‘R17’ which will premiere at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and which represents the replacement for the old 4-door version A4 which won the DTM four times since 2004.
Some of the few details that have been made available so far mention the fact that the Audi A5 Coupe DTM Concept features a high strength carbon fiber monocoque and a steel tube roll cage while power will be provided by a V8 engine rated at approximately 460 HP.
The car will spin its wheels thanks to a 6-speed transmission, while in terms of exterior appearance, it looks like Audi has chosen the previous version A5 as base.
