Ariel and TMI AutoTech, the guys which holds the exclusivity for North America Ariel, have officially unveiled the Atom 3S. The car is described as the most powerful version of the Atom and it features a 2.4-liter turbocharged Honda engine rated at 365 horsepower and 420 Nm peak of torque.
The vehicle has a cockpit adjustable traction control which improves the acceleration and stability over a wide range of surface conditions. More than that, the car comes with 4 piston brake calipers for all-wheels and adjustable dampers.
The engine can be matted to a standard, close ration of a new Sadev six-speed sequential transmission. According to Ariel the car will be available with a full glass windscreen to allow for a clear view ahead. In addition, the Ariel Atom 3S comes with a full LCD display that allows for easy viewing of data such as speed, rpm, water temperature, fuel level of gear position.
The new Ariel Atom 3S can sprint from stand still to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.8 seconds, while the quarter mile is done in around 10.7 seconds. The model is priced at $89,750 USD (70,800 EUR), while the standard Atom 3 is rated at $64,500 USD (50,850 EUR).
