Ariel Atom 3.5R special edition could have 350 HP

Ariel Motor Company officials have announced plans to reveal a limited edition Atom 3.5R. Under the hood of the upcoming Ariel Atom 3.5R will be the same Honda Civic Type R-sourced four cylinder, 2.0 liter supercharged unit rated at 310 horsepower. In the new version, the engine will be tweaked up and will deliver 350 horsepower. 

The motor resources are put to the ground via a six speed Sadev paddle-shift transmission derived from the Atom V8 version. In addition, the Ariel Motor Company engineers will use Ohlins TTX dampers and bespoke Khumo high-performance tires. 

The upcoming Ariel Atom 3.5R is already available for order for around $135,000. According to Ariel officials, the deliveries of the Atom 3.5R will kick off this summer.
