UK importer of Sportec tuning components, APS are launching a Stage One ECU upgrade for the new Volkswagen Golf R.
Thanks to the revised electronics that optimize the fuel, ignition timing and boost pressure
settings the APS Sportec Volkswagen Golf R is able to produce 300 BHP (224 kW) @ 6,000 rpm and 440 Nm (321 lb-ft) of torque @ 2,750 rpm. This means the APS Sportec Volkswagen Golf R now takes 5.3 seconds to reach 100 Km/h from a standstill while top speed has increased to 265 Km/h.
As a reminder the standard Volkswagen Golf R packs 267 BHP (200 kW) and 354 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque with a 0 tp 100 Km/h acceleration time of 5.7 seconds.
The APS Sportec Volkswagen Golf R ECU upgrade package is priced at 649 GBP and is suitable for both six speed manual and DSG versions.
