Anderson Germany is a tuner who thinks that red is not necessarily the only colour which can characterize a true Ferrari.
To support their claim they have created the Ferrari 458 Black Carbon Edition, a ‘rare’ exemplar which comes fitted with a series of externally visible modifications that include a vented bonnet with carbon air intakes, carbon fiber blades in the front apron, carbon mirrors casings, a carbon diffuser and 21 inch carbon rims wrapped in performance tires (size 245/345 front and back).
The Italian coupe’s performance figures have also been tweaked, as the Anderson Germany Ferrari 458 is now able to develop 623 HP instead of 570 HP and and an extra 96 Nm of torque over the standard model thanks to a remapped ECU and a custom exhaust system with special manifolds and catalysts. This new exhaust is also 18 Kg lighter than the one on the stock version and comes with a heat protection sleeve that helps in reducing temperatures by up to 60 percent.
At the interior the Anderson Germany Ferrari 458 features the same all-black treatment that matches the exterior, and which has been applied to the center console, air vents, door handles/sills, steering wheel, shift paddles and tachometer border. Also the seats are covered with a combination of black leather and black Alcantara, plus the 458 Italia’s sound system has been enhanced with a DVD player, a subwoofer/amplifier and Bluetooth.
Anderson Germany press release :
FERRARI 458 BLACK CARBON EDITION BY ANDERSON GERMANY
Who says that a true Ferrari is red Ferrari? Sometimes there are simply impressive examples of how well other colors on the Italian driving machine can leave lasting impressions. Therefore the presented here vehicle, “adapted” by ANDERSON Germany from Dusseldorf, is by no means a vehicle of “wrong” color, but one of the aforementioned, admittedly rare examples that you then cannot get out of your head so quickly.
Let’s start with the exceptional externally visible modifications which include installation of a phenomenal sport hood and carbon air intakes. These air intakes have built-in water drainage, so that the front trunk of the Ferrari 458 is really dry.
Windows and lights were subjected to special tinting. Furthermore, it is worth to mention the carbon exterior package, consisting of wings in the front apron, a rear diffuser and wing mirrors as well as engine covers (invisible). Among other remarkable things are the exclusive, in-house 21-inch carbon rims painted in body color with 245 tires at the front axle and 345 – at the rear. The yellow brake caliper paint undoubtedly strikes the eye.
A software optimization and an exhaust system with special manifolds and Rennkats bring an impressive performance increase from 570 to 623 hp now and a torque increase to 96 Nm. Speaking of exhaust system: the sound is reminiscent of the Formula 1; it is used to save 18 kg and has an exhaust path with a remote-controlled valve adjusting system with three different levels of noise. In addition, a specially developed heat protection sleeve is designed for the complete system including manifolds, reducing the temperature by up to 60%, and provides increased security against overheating, while assuring a power increase.
After the carbon exterior package, the interior is not a surprise. It covers air intakes, center console, door handles, door sills, a steering wheel, a tachometer border, shift paddles, and – prepare yourself – seat adjustment handles. And the fact that further refinement of the interior in black color with carbon leather was combined with black Alcantara and diamond seams is almost obvious. The sound system with DVD player, subwoofer, amplifier, speakers and the Bluetooth provides a good sound.
To be precise, exceptions prove the rule: even with a non-red Ferrari you can get from A to B with pleasure…
