The guys from AAA have conducted an analysis regarding American gas pricing and discovered it hasn’t been as a low price since 2009. According to them this trend is expected to continue in 2016 as well.
AAA says American drivers paid an average price of $2.40 per gallon in 2015, which is a decrease of around 94 cents compared to 2014. But another interesting fact is that the American drivers saved more than $115 billion on gas last year in comparison to 2014.
On December the national average was at $2.01 per gallon and this hasn’t been so low since March 2009. Now in most part of the USA the gas prices are lower than $2 per gallon and AAA says 16,000+ stations sell gas for less than $1.75.
The cheapest gas can be found in Missouri ($1.72), while at the other end is California with $2.85 per gallon.
