We don’t know what engine will be under the bonnet but there are a series of rumors. According to those voices, Renault will mount the 1.6 liter engine found in the Clio RS. There is a big chance to expend the displacement to 1.8 liters while the power could go up to 300 horsepower. The engine resources might be channeled to the rear axle with help from a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox.

The production model will be revealed before the end of 2016 and the model will go on sale in the second quarter of 2017.
