Alfa Romeo unveiled the Tonale a few months ago. In Europe, the model is already on sale, but in US, it will become available in 2023.

Intially, the US variant was supposed to be available in plug-in hybrid form and with a 2.0 liter turbo unit. But now, the Alfa Romeo officials have said that the 2.0 liter turbo unit will be dropped. As a result, if you are living in North America and looking for a Tonale, the only variant you’ll get is a plug-in hybrid.

Like in Europe, the PHEV uses a 1.3 liter four cylinder engine and an electric motor. The two produce a total of 272 horsepower.

If you can remembre a similarity, you’ll have to know that Tonale is basically a Dodge Hornet with Alfa Romeo badges.
