Volvo has officially unveiled the all-new EX30. Described as an urban crossover, the new model will be available only as an electric car.
The new EX30 is the smallest Volvo in the current line-up and will sit below the XC40. Also, the new EX30 will be Volvo’s most expencive car: in the US, the SUV will start at 34,950 USD.
The new EX30 is 166.6 inches (4,233 millimeters) long, 72.3 in (1,837 mm) wide, and 61.2 in (1,555) mm high, with a wheelbase of 104.3 in (2,650 mm). It will be offered in one battery version and two motor variants (for the US market).
The entry level will have one electric motor with 268 horsepower and a battery with 64 kWh. In these conditions, the maximum range will be around 275 miles.
The top of the range will have two electric motors (one on each axle) with 422 HP. The same battery will offer an estimated range of around 265 miles.
The battery will have DC charging at 153 kW.
Inside the cabin, the crossover comes with no instrument cluser and a big central screen. Like Tesla models. But there will be a head-up display.
