Volkswagen has officially unveiled the 2024 ID.3. Althought the manufacturer names it a “new ID.3”, this is basically a mid-cycle facelift.
As you can see, the electric car has been slightly redesigned: there is a new front spoiler, a modified hood, and tail lights that are totally illuminated. Inside the car, Volkswagen said it has used lots of recycled plastics.
Also, according to the German manufacturer, there are some improvements in the quality: softer materials, no animal leather and bigger rest zones.
The standard model will get a digital instrument cluster and a bigger center display (12 inches). The multimedia software has been improved and now comes with new functions.
Volkswagen hasn’t done modifications on the engine side. The rear wheel drive car has one electric motor with 204 horsepower and 310 Nm. Customers will be able to chose from a 58 kWh or 77 kWh battery pack. The larger one enables a range of up to 550 kilometres, and can be charged at stations with 170 kW of power. The smaller one can offer a range or 426 kilometres, and can be chraged at 120 kW.
