Lexus has officially unveiled the third generation GX. The new model comes as a body-on-frame off-roader based on the GA-F platform, the same one used for the LX 600. It has a double-wishbone front suspension and a multi-link suspension at the back.
Optional, Lexus offers an Adaptive Variable Suspension with active dampers. At launch, the new 2024 Lexus GX will be available in one version.
The GX 550 has a twin-tubro V6 3,4 liter unit with 349 HP and 479 lb-ft of torque. The unit will be matted to a ten speed automatic transmission.
Standard, the model has full-time four-wheel drive and a lockable Torsen limited-slip center differential. There is also an electronically controlled transfer case for shifting between 4WD-High and 4WD-Low. If you are going for the Overtrail grade, you’ll also get a locking rear differential.
