Skoda has published the first pictures and details of the new Octavia RS iV. The new generation of the performance model is available, for the first time, in a plug-in hybrid version.
The model comes with redesigned spoilers, a new radiator grille, one reworked rear wing and new exhaust pipes. Inside the cabin there are sports seats, a sport steering wheels and some special accessories.
But the most important thing is hidden under the bonnet. The 2021 Skoda Octavia RS iV features a plug-in hybrid powertrain which is made from a 1.4 TSI petrol unit with 150 horsepower and an electric motor for a total of 245 horsepower and 400 Nm peak of torque.
The engine resources are sent to the ground via an automatic dual-clutch transmission.
The not to 100 km/h is done in 7.3 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 225 km/h. Another important fact is that the new Octavia RS iV has a 13 kWh battery pack which can offer up to 60 kilometers of electric range.
