The current 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4Matic+ managed to set a new Nurburgring class record. The German model lapped the Green Hell in 7 minutes and 23.009 seconds or 7:27.800 depending on how the company times things.

As you may have read, last year, the Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG established a different method for timing laps. . The clock will start and stop at the same point in turn 13. As a result, the lap will be 12.944 miles (20.83 kilometers).

The old lap measured 12.8-mile (20.6-kilometer) and it was the one seen in automaker videos and in tests from publications. This lap starts at the end of turn 13 while the clock stops at the beginning section of the same grandstand.

For the longer run, the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4Matic+ set a time of 7:27.800, while the shorter run was done in 7 minutes and 23.009 seconds. The last record for the same class was established by the new generation Porsche Panamera.
