Seat is celebrating 30 years since the launch of the first Ibiza model. To mark the moment, the Spanish manufacturer introduced a special edition of the current Ibiza and organized a special event.
During this conference, Seat introduced a teaser of the future Ibiza, revealing the X motif that will guide the design language. The X will be created at the front and at the rear with the help of LED lights and bumpers vents.
The design language will be bolder and more aggressive than on the current generation.
The development will be based on a shortened MQB platform, that will also be found on the future generations Audi A1 and Volkswagen Polo. The new generation Ibiza will arrive in 2016 and will have a smaller weight and more efficient three and four cylinder engines.
Inside the car, clients will find new infotainment systems borrowed from Ibiza`s bigger brothers, the Leon and Rapid.
